Avaya Communications Manager is the next generation of Avaya call processing software. Designed as an open, scalable, and highly reliable telephony solution, it effectively scales from under 100 users to as many as 36,000 on a single system and to more than one million users on a single network. ![]() Avaya Media Gateways support voice and signalling traffic routed between circuit-switched and packet-switched networks. They support all of the applications and adjuncts proven in use with the Avaya DEFINITY® Enterprise Communications Servers, accommodating contact centre and customer relationship management applications, messaging, remote workers, remote offices and road warriors. Avaya Media Gateways work with standards-based data networks and easily connect with the Public Switched Telephone Network. ![]() Avaya MultiVantage™ ExpressDesigned around the compact Avaya Definity S8500 server running Avaya's World class Communication Manager Software MVE offers the user an affordable and flexible approach to their telecommunications. For companies with a limited budget the MVE solution has a competitive ownership cost with a low initial outlay and a tiered pricing structure. Setup is a simple process taking under 2 hours to configure via a pre installed utility. Full administration tools are available after initialisation alongside a software suite provided for call logging reporting. Other features include a backup and restore facility when adding additional licences, applications and upgrades. The scalability of MVE can ensure a smooth transition from 100 to 500 users with the option to include up to 10 locations. The total number of trunks supported on release 2.0 is 240 of which 150 can be IP. MVE can enable a midsize business to move up to Enterprise level. ![]() Avaya G650 Media GatewayThe Avaya G650 Media Gateway is a fourteen slot, rack mounted carrier configured for TN format circuit packs. This gateway provides customers with a single rack mounted design (8U high, 14 inches) that can be installed in industry standard EIA-310D 19”, 24” or 600 mm ETSI open or closed racks. The G650 will provide a uniform equipment footprint, simplified installation and size commonality with much of today’s existing data networking equipment. The new door on the front of the gateway provides safety protection for service personnel, EMC containment, good internal thermal management and a common look and feel with other new Avaya products. From a hardware standpoint all of the 14 card slots will be universal in nature and could support any of Avaya’s TN circuit packs, however slots 1 and 2 will generally be used to hold the processor cards. The software in some cases may require that specific cards (like the IPSI and Tone Generation boards) be located in specific card slots – just as in many of today’s products. The G650 will offer dual redundant, hot swappable power supplies that significantly increase both the availability and reliability of the gateway over previous systems. The G650 uses one or two 655A power supplies, operating on either AC and DC input power. Either power supply can provide all the power needed by the G650. When two power supplies exist, they share the power load. One power supply can operate on AC power and the other on DC power. The system will always use AC power if available. All new Avaya S8700 and S8500 Media Server sales ship with G650 media gateways. |
