Campbell River’s 1958 Ripple Rock explosion is the inspiration behind this expression of Shelter Point single malt whisky, aged in alligator charred virgin American oak casks and bourbon barrels. Distilled in traditional pot stills with glacier fed aquifer water.
Shelter Point Ripple Rock Whisky Facts:
• Still: Custom-designed copper still
• Base: 100% Malt Barley
• Distillation: Small-batch, twice distilled
• Spirit: Natural colour and non-chill filtered
Nose: Distinct notes of vanilla with a slight chocolate note. Hiding in the back is a slight oak spice.
Palate: Caramel with raisins, Intense chocolate flavour, pepper and clove.
Finish: Long and balanced with vanilla, toffee, chocolate and an assortment of spices.
